by Angkor's greatest builder Jayavarman7 (reigned 1181 to 1201).

to Bangkok. The city has a population of 450000, and is situated
on the Mekong river. Here you can find fields of rice and vegetables,
agriculture hidden behind tree lined avenues. French Colonial architecture
sits next to gilded temples. Freshly baked French bread is served
next to shops selling noodle soup. Next, proceed to Luang Prabang,
the jewel of Indochina. The ancient royal city is surrounded by
mountains at the junction of the Mekong and its tributary, the Khan
river. Like most temple in Asia, the Wat Xieng Thong was richly
decorated with coloured glass and gold. It was built in 1560 and
have been maintained with its ancient preserve.
